Background

Farmers State Bank opened in 1879, and has been locally owned and operated for more than 125 years. Farmers State Bank has locations in the following Iowa communities: Jesup, Raymond, Dunkerton, and Waterloo.

Challenge
The Bank wanted access to customer information from its multiple locations so that all bank employees, from customer service representatives to officers, were informed about the account’s loan, deposit and investment transactions. Access to hard copy loan documentation and credit reports was limited due to their multiple offices. Although the bank used state of the art financial systems, the loan approval process was cumbersome. The Bank wanted to streamline the lending side in the first phase of the implementation.

CRM Solution
FSB chose Sage CRM SalesLogix as its CRM solution because it allowed real-time access to customer information from all its locations. The Loan pipeline is visible bank wide throughout the entire business development cycle. Loan documents are now scanned in at booking and are maintained in the customer’s file. FSB also stores commonly used forms like Cures and Payment Reminders. Sage CRM SalesLogix has automated the underwriting process, has simplified mass mailings and has provided a reliable tickler system.

Results
Sage CRM SalesLogix has provided FSB an effective way to work with customers and serve them better. Documents and forms are now safely stored in a single system and easily accessed. More bank processes are automated, and bank employees have a complete view of customers’ activities.
